The G8 Summit Leaders Shy Away from Any Real Legislationby Kelly Richardsonkelly.richardson@careertrainingdirectory.com Career Training Directory Columnist According to President George Bush, there will be no Kyoto-type accords to come from this year's G8 Summit. Citing outrageous expense and possible harm to the economy, it looks as though there will be no environmental legislation worth talking about to come from the meeting. The G8 Summit is the meeting of the world's richest and most developed eight countries. At this meeting, the nations' leaders meet at a posh resort and discuss issues facing the Earth and its inhabitants. At a previous G8 Summit meeting, the Kyoto Treaty was presented that would cut greenhouse gasses from the burning of fossil fuels which would help protect the ozone layer. Bush later pulled out of the treaty, enraging environmental activists everywhere.

You can begin an environmental career by earning a degree from a local college or university.
