He then went on to launch one of the most storied rock careers in history and touch millions of lives in the process. Guitar great Jimi Hendrix visited counseling professionals throughout the beginning of his military service. He complained that he was in love with one of his squad mates and that he had become addicted to masturbating. And that was enough for his superior officers to recommend his full dismissal from the armed forces. However, Hendrix's legendary appetite for women negates the notion that he might have been gay.
