Cyber Security Training - Good For Internet Security, Homeland Security and Job Security

Security is a buzz word at the moment - and with good reason. I have already spoken about the current benefits of homeland security training, but cyber security training is hardly less important.

The dominance of the Internet and eCommerce makes Internet security of paramount importance right now. To do that, our nation needs an influx of cyber security training graduates.

The Importance of Internet Security for Homeland Security and Individual Security

A report released this month suggests that more than 2,500 web servers are hacked every day, an increase of 36% on the number of attacks on internet security in 2004. The report, carried out by web-based company, Zone H, used worldwide sources.

At the lower end of the scale, the hackers simply deface a website. At the other end is the full-scale infiltration of Internet security and the stealing of information on individuals', organizations' or - worse still - government departments.

The report revealed that there were 49 separate attacks against US military servers last year. The threat to homeland security posed by breaches in internet security is more than obvious and very alarming.

It is the Right Time for Cyber Security Training in More Ways Than One

Put yourself in the shoes of 21st century company director, or government official. If your organizations is making ample use of the Internet for distributing and storing information (and who isn't?), it is of paramount importance right now to get properly-trained IT professionals who can work to protect and maintain the integrity and security of your organization's systems.

Investing in cyber security training will add value to your existing IT managers. In the future, you will also look to recruit professionals who have undertaken cyber security training; this means good news for the individual looking for a secure job in IT.
